How to embed a Custom Code element

Adding custom code to your website can enhance its functionality and provide a unique user experience. We understand that you might want to go beyond our standard features to bring your creative ideas to life. In this article, we'll guide you through two simple methods to seamlessly integrate custom code using our native elements.

There are two places within the website builder where we can add custom code:

Using the Embed Code element

  1. Enter your email and password and click Login.

  2. Click on Edit Site under the My Sites section.

  3. Click on Edit Site in the top right corner.

  4. Click on Pages at the top.

  5. Click on a page from the menu on the left where you want to add your form.

  6. Click on Build at the top.

  7. Locate the Embed Code element in the left menu and drag it into your page.

  8. Click on Edit Custom HTML.

  9. Press Cmd + V (Mac) or CTRL + V (Win) to insert the embed code.

  10. Click out of the text box and you will see the updated element.

Header/Footer within SEO Settings

  1. Enter your email and password and click Login.

  2. Click on Edit Site under the My Sites section.

  3. Click on Edit Site in the top right corner.

  4. Click on Settings at the top.

  5. Click on SEO.

  6. Scroll down and locate the Header or Footer section as needed.


    Important Note: Always verify specific code placement instructions with the code provider.

    Scripts placed in the Header are processed first. However, if the there are too many scripts in the Header, it can decrease the site’s performance. Placing scripts in the Footer improves the site’s performance and loading page speed.

  7. Press Cmd + V (Mac) or CTRL + V (Win) to insert the code or script.

  8. Click on Save.
