Alternatively, leads can engage in a live chat conversation with you via their preferred messaging/social media platform. To achieve this, you need to generate the direct messaging URLs from these platforms which you can later add to your website in the form of buttons, or other call-to-action elements.

How to generate direct messaging URL for Instagram

Creating an ig.me link manually may appear challenging at first, but it’s quite straightforward.

The format for an Instagram DM link is “https://ig.me/m/YOURUSERNAME”.

  1. Replace YOURUSERNAME with your Instagram username.

    For example, if your username is @crc_heroes, your link would be “https://ig.me/m/crc_heroes.”

    Ensure your account’s privacy setting is set to public. If your account is private, the DM link will not function properly.

How to generate direct messaging URL for Facebook Messenger

The format for a Facebook Messenger link is m.me/YOURUSERNAME.

  1. Replace YOURUSERNAME with your Facebook Page’s username.

    For example, if your Page’s username is creditrepaircloud, your link would be “m.me/creditrepaircloud.”

How to generate direct messaging URL for Whatsapp

The format for a Whatsapp link is https://wa.me/<NUMBER> where the <NUMBER> is a full phone number in international format

  1. Replace NUMBER with your full phone number in international format.

  2. Click on Edit Site under the My Sites section.

  3. Click on Edit Site in the top right corner.

  7. Click on Link.

  8. Click on Website URL.

  9. Paste the URL for your preferred messaging platform.

  10. Click on the Publish button.

  11. Repeat this process as needed for each button.

    If you’d like to delete a button, hover over it and click on the X icon located on the right corner. To confirm the action, click on the Delete button.
